World tours are grueling and Rihanna learned this the hard way when she missed shows in Sweden due to illness. However, her problems did not stop there. Her show in Dublin almost did not happen due to fatigue. She had a pre-show meltdown and only performed after talking to Beyoncé. After the show she tweeted that she was light-headed. Unfortunately the Loud tour does not end until late December in London.
The immediate reason for the health watch for Rihanna is the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball this weekend, but also on the horizon is filming for her tour DVD. An insider revealed, "They are currently in talks with Mariah Carey's trainer, Patricia Gay, to fly in and start training." This will insure that Rihanna is at peak performance for her DVD. Why filming for a DVD would be scheduled at the end of such a long tour is puzzling, unless London was the desired location, where she performs tonight on the Loud tour. Other artists have filmed their DVDs to close their tours, such as Katy Perry (at the Staples Center) but is it a smart idea if it's not your home town?
