Miley Cyrus was caught running out the door in ripped jeans... and barefoot! The teen queen ran to a car without shoes, likely because she was running late and didn't want to hurt herself wearing high heels. Photogs caught the whole thing and the singer has explained what happened.
"One of those days I wish I wasn't famous! Getting papped running to the car with my pumps in my hand. At least they were Loubitons? (sic)" Miley said in response to the photos.
Things could have definitely been worse—she could have run out forgetting her bra—but there is something about celebs (or anyone really) walking on the pavement without shoes that's kind of gross. Remember that time Britney Spears used a bathroom as a gas station and went in barefoot? Yuck!
In Miley Cyrus' case, it's easy to understand that she didn't want to run in heels, but she couldn't have grabbed a pair of sneakers at least?

Celebrity or not, she has a right to be her own person and go barefoot if she wants, just like any of us do. I may not be a fan of Miley's, but I am a fan of going barefoot, and being able to wear or not wear whatever I want. I would really love to see every one of Miley's fans going barefoot for a day in support of her right to be barefoot whenever she wants to be, and of everyone's right to be who they want to be, and wear what they want to wear.
