The Erin Andrews nude peephole video taken of the ESPN personality while she was in a Mariott hotel room has not only led to the perpetrator's imprisonment, but also a lawsuit by Andrews. Erin is famous not only for the scandal, but her work on ESPN, as well as appearing as a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars" in a previous season.
A report from USA Today says that Erin Andrews will be suing both the West End Marriott Hotel near Vanderbilt's campus, and Michael Barrett, the man sentenced to over two years in prison for filming Andrews naked. Barrett was allegedly given information about which room Erin was staying in and then was able to set up a peephole video camera to record her while she was nude. The video went viral online and created humiliation for the ESPN sideline reporter.
Andrews is now seeking $6 million in damages from the hotel, and $4 million from the peephole video perpetrator, Barrett. Some are contending that maybe Andrews was expecting that the "unwanted publicity" she got from the whole peephole scandal didn't lead to lucrative TV deals. However, it appears she was not satisfied with how much time the man who filmed her naked was put in prison for, and also wants to send a message to the hotel for aiding in this crime.
Do you feel that the Erin Andrews nude peephole scandal is worth $10 million in damages, or is it too much for her to sue for?
