Angelea Preston's Facebook Status that Got Her Disqualified from 'America's Next Top Model'

If she said that, it really doesn't mean that she said she won the show to me. It's more like a self-statement where she's saying she doesn't care what other people think, she knows she's a winner. I don't think she really said she won, if that's what she really wrote.

However, the show's producers may not have liked her attitude and that could be why she was removed.

That status came from a fan page run by a fan - not Angelea. It was posted a few days before the finale, but both Allison and Lisa have said that they were called back for the finale way before November 30 (when it was posted.)

Interesting! That is why I made sure I didn't put that the status was true for sure. I could not find a screenshot which made me wonder.

There is a screenshot on Twitter, but it is still posted on the actual fan page. In the info of the page it states twice that its not the real Angelea, though.

I am now a grandmother and mother of four girls and one son, I am also retired, but still an artist. In the 70’s I was a fashion designer in the Virgin Islands. I know a good model when I see one. Angelea Preston is the reason I watched Top Model. She reminded me of one of my daughters. To watch the entire season up to the last show. It was exciting because, Angelea was the young woman to shine in all the areas needed to walk away with the prize. Fans and viewers waited for the announcement, then at the last minute before the top model is reveled, Angelea is disqualified, without a reason. This is unprofessional as far as I am concerned. The viewer is the rating number; we buy the products, Cover Girl and other related fashion items. I am not given the chance to hear why the producers ax her after I watched every week and bought the products and cheered Angelea on to the last moment in hopes to see her win. Shame on Tyra Banks, who claims to be fearless, said nothing. Ms. Banks just put out a book Modelland about the ups and downs of a model’s life. Her show ANTM is a look at how a model is treated. The producers cheated the audience and Angelea. Not allowing her or the audience a finial exit. The producers took away the real in the reality show, To me Angelea is a winner and the show is the looser.

I do agree that they should have told fans the truth! It is not fair at all to not let them know.

Sorry to disagree with some of you but I personally am glad Angelea didn't win. Her behavior was awful throughout the entire season. Most of her photos were not that great. I can't understand how anyone would support someone bad mouthing and swearing and being disrespectful to her fellow contestants the way she did. I feel that ANTM should have allowed her a better exit and maybe she would have said something nice in her departure but she was not befitting of the title in any way, shape or form.
