Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries may have ended their marital bliss by bitter divorce, but it was still one of the most talked about weddings of 2011. They join Prince William and Kate Middleton on a recent list unveiled. How did they rank and who else made the list?
The list arrives via the website idiva.com, and ranks 10 celebrity couples' weddings, with Prince William and Kate Middleton's worldwide marriage ceremony topping the list. There's no surprise there, as millions or billions of people were watching the event around the world as royalty was on display. Not far behind at #3 on the list is the reality TV filmed wedding of celebrity Kim Kardashian and NBA player Kris Humphries. The website says of their not-so-long-lasting marriage:
"From the moment Humphries proposed with rose petals, the world watched this couple with baited breath, waiting for the romantic summer wedding. And from the engraved invitations to the 10-tier white cake with chocolate chip icing, this was one marriage that was just perfect - for the next 72 days at least!"
It's true, their wedding was one for the ages, and made for reality TV consumption, but it just wasn't meant to be everlasting. Others who joined these couples on the list include Bollywood's Imran Khan and Avantika Malik at the #2 spot, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi at #4, and Neelam Kothari and Sameer Soni at #5.
These latter couples are more talked about in a certain segment of the world, while Kardashian-Humphries and the Prince William-Kate Middleton events were much more global. With that said, it seems that Kim K's marriage ceremony should probably rank at #2, and may even be close to #1 with all the talk it's still getting to this day!
