Cody Simpson has revealed who his celebrity crush is, and it's not reality show star Kylie Jenner.
Poor Cody keeps having to deny that he's dating one of the younger members of the Kardashian clan, and it seems that he's trying really hard to prove that he's keeping his dating options open right now.
During a performance at the Palmares at Musique Plus in Montreal, he serenaded a smitten-looking blonde girl on stage. Cody got shockingly intimate with the fan by pressing his forehead up against hers while he was singing, and his face got so close to the girl's that it almost looked like he was about to kiss her. So maybe getting so physically close to his fans is the way he'll try to separate himself from Justin Bieber—or perhaps he was trying to prove that he's single and ready to mingle.
When the host of the music event asked Cody Simpson about dating Kylie Jenner, he once again denied it. The pop star has stated a few times now that he and Kylie are just friends, and it might be a good thing that he's not getting serious with her.
Kylie and her sister Kendall Jenner have gotten their own spinoff reality show after being featured with their sisters on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, so maybe Cody is trying to stay away from reality TV. After all, if he dated Kylie, he'd probably feel pressure to allow their relationship to be filmed for the show. Cody is trying to become a legitimate pop star by closely following in the footsteps of Justin Bieber, and his pop predecessor never did reality TV.
Cody also revealed that Kylie Jenner is not his celebrity crush—he only has eyes for Eva Longoria.
Eva does have a thing for younger guys, which is evidenced by the 36-year-old actress dating 26-year-old Eduardo Cruz, the brother of Penelope Cruz. However, 14 is just a little bit young for her (maybe Cody will have a shot four years from now).
Perhaps Cody Simpson is waiting to find a talented actress girlfriend who's kind of like a younger version of Eva—Kylie might be famous, but she's no Selena Gomez. So Cody might be hoping to follow in Justin Bieber's footsteps by finding the right Disney starlet to date.
