Lady Gaga might be playing the real estate game as her romantic relationship with The Vampire Diaries' star Taylor Kinney escalates. She's apparently been scouting out a potential property in Pennsylvania's (no, not Transylvania!) Lancaster County, the hometown of her current flame. A weekend love nest, perhaps?
The "You and I" singer has been spotted perusing the area, located about 70 miles outside of Philadelphia, where she and Kinney have hit up the local bars and restaurants, and even the grocery store! Sounds like she might be settling in, especially if reports about her considering a $1.7 million, 6,000-square-foot property in the gated community of Bent Creek are true. The estate does seem rather modest for an over-the-top star like Lady Gaga, not to mention her sizeable closet. But it sounds like she's already won the seal of approval from neighbors.
According to Radar Online, next-door resident Tyler Nehlig said Gaga would be welcome. "I've heard she's very low-key and normal despite all of her exotic performances. Her shoes and her crazy costumes, I think it would be interesting to see the other side of her," Nehlig affirmed. Low-key or not, there's no question she would provide plenty of buzz, and probably a good bit of paparazzi action, in the community. No doubt lots of curious neighbors would be carting over a bottle of wine and a casserole hoping to have their own momentary brush with celebrity.
Coincidentally for the eccentric Gaga and her Vampire Diaries hunk, the Lancaster County house even seems a bit gothic and foreboding with its gray brick exteriors and arched detail -- the only thing missing are the gargoyles!
