Kim Kardashian is no stranger to the tabloids. Thanks to her reality TV star status, her quickie marriage and split from Kris Humphires and the fame of sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, she's often splashed on the front page of magazines everywhere. Now, a report suggests that the Kardashians, including mom Kris Jenner, are looking to create their own magazine!
The New York Post's Page Six claims that the Kardashians are hoping to strike a deal with magazine publishing giant American Media Inc. Yes, that's right: A Kardashian magazine might soon be on the horizon. American Media is a massive company, owning not only the National Enquirer, but also Star magazine and others. Is this a smart move for Kim Kardashian and her family? Would fans embrace the idea of a mag centered solely on this group? Probably.
Page Six quotes an unidentified "competitor" as saying, "Now the Kardashians can spin their own stories in print." This makes a lot of sense, if you think about it. If the tabloids won't leave the Kardashian family alone, why shouldn't they create their own magazine and print only the stories they want people to read? It's all about control, after all, and Kris Jenner would certainly be the right person to oversee everything where that's concerned.
2012 promises to be a very, very interesting year for this family as they expand their empire and attempt take over the magazine world! Fans, what say you? Would you subscribe to the Kardashians' magazine? What kinds of stories would you want to read?
