iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove is joining forces with First Lady Michelle Obama in a special episode of the Nickelodeon show that will hit home with thousands of military families. Some of those families will even be treated to an early screening.
According to a report from Just Jared, Cosgrove was honored and very excited to work with the first lady.
The episode that finds Cosgrove's character Carly disappointed because her military deployed dad is unable to come home for an anticipated birthday celebration. Her friends rally around her with kindness and love--providing her with lots of support.
Michelle Obama becomes privy to the situation and wants to lend her support to the difficult situation. She not only supports Miranda Cosgrove's character, but those of her TV friends as well.
The premiere of this iCarly episode, called iMeet the First Lady is set to premiere on Nickelodeon on Monday January 16th. However, if you live on one of the following military bases, you will be treated to a special early screening of the show.
If you live on the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in Miramar, California, you can see the episode on January 9th. Naval Submarine Base New London residents in Groton, Connecticut can see it on January 11th. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst military families in Fort Dix, New Jersey can see it on January 12th and families with children at the Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, Virginia can see it on the 13th.
Kudos to Miranda Cosgrove and First Lady Michelle Obama for their stellar performances in this iCarly episode, that will no doubt support and encourage military families around the country--and maybe even around the world.
