'One Tree Hill' season 9 episode 3 'Love The...

One Tree Hill season 9 premieres next week, but the press release for episode 3, "Love The Way You Lie," is already out, and it's going to feature a moment that seemed inevitable considering Brooke's past with her father.

"Dan (Paul Johansson) helps a struggling Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) at Karen's CafÃ©. Meanwhile, Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) discovers that Clay (Robert Buckley) is hiding something from her, and Chase (Stephen Colletti) tries to mend a broken heart. Brooke (Sophia Bush) is let down by her lunch plans with her dad, and Julian (Austin Nichols) makes a life-changing mistake."

Though the promotional photos out for the One Tree Hill season 9 premiere, "Know This, We Noticed," show that Brooke's happy to be reuniting with her father, it's hard not to remember that he hasn't been present in Brooke's life. The upcoming final season is the first time he'll be appearing, and even though things look good between father and daughter in the premiere, you have to expect that that will change and a long-overdue conversation will be taking place about the fact that he hasn't been around. Could that happen in this episode considering the information about their lunch?

Meanwhile, it sounds like things aren't going so well for Chase in the romance department if he's suffering from a broken heart in this episode. What's going to happen between him and Alex to start off the season? Could it have anything to do with him in a police car in the sneak peek from the premiere? Something else that could have to do with what that sneak peek shows is Julian's storyline. He's shown getting beat up to kick off the season, and that could have something to do with whatever mistake he makes. Will it have something to do with his family? Could there be problems coming for Brooke and Julian? Could that (and her father standing her up) lead to Brooke taking her frustrations out by trashing the cafÃ©?

Speaking of that sneak peek, it shows Quinn trying to get Clay to talk to her, and apparently in this episode, "Love The Way You Lie," she knows he has a secret. That clip shows that he doesn't want her help, but will she keep pushing until he reveals what it is or until he pushes her too far away for them to get back to where they were? Finally, there's the whole issue of Haley, Nathan, and Dan. Spoilers have already revealed that Haley and Dan team up to find Nathan, who goes missing, and it sounds like Dan's help is going to stretch past just finding Nathan and with her business as well. Still, it's not like Dan's exactly a guy you would trust, so that should make for some interesting scenes.
