Jennifer Lopez recently stated that she would love to return to In Living Color if her former boss, Keenen Ivory Wayans, made the offer. This would certainly add to
the new show's hype to see some of the original cast bring in the new episodes.
According to Access Hollywood, when asked about the returning show, Lopez says:
"Oh my God, I didn't even know! That's awesome."
"I haven't heard from [Keenen], but if he called me wanted me to do something, that would be awesome. "
Lopez, who got her start as a "Fly Girl" says that she is forever grateful for Keenen for the opportunity and encouragement during her younger years as a dancer. She credits him as a mentor and says that he has always had faith in her talent.
Lopez adds, "From the beginning of my career, he always believed in me, he always was constantly putting in my brain, 'You're gonna be a star, you're gonna be a star, do you know that?'
Clearly this affirmation had much to do with her drive and successful career today. All it takes is the right words, encouragement and an unwavering belief to make something happen, and now look at her.
Original creator, Keenan Ivory Wayans, will return as the host and executive producer. The new In Living Color two-half hour episode specials are set to return to FOX this spring.
Fans of In Living Color are definitely just as excited for the classic sketch comedy show's return, which is sure to feature some new names in talent for many years to come.
