Katy Perry and Russell Brand's divorce is hard enough as it is without her evangelical parents tossing in their two cents but they did. During what can only be described as a difficult time, Katy and Russell are trying to keep their divorce out of the lime light and amicable.
Unfortunately, the singer's parents, Keith and Mary Hudson spoke publicly during last weekend's sermon about how they felt their daughters divorce was a gift from God. The California Gurls' singer didn't agree. On Saturday night Perry tweeted, "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family"
It seems Katy Perry's family got the drift because during yesterday's sermon her parents made no mention of her divorce from Russell Brand. It's unfortunate that Katy's parents took her divorce as an opportunity to preach the word of God. God definitely did not want the singer and her husband to get a divorce. At least, they are finally remaining mum.
