Tiger Woods's ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, shocked the world when she demolished her $12 million mansion in North Palm Beach, Florida. Many people thought she just wanted to display the wealth she had gotten from her cheating ex-husband.
However, the true reason Elin Nordegren tore the entire estate down is because it was infested with termites. Not only that, but the 1920s era home also did not meet with current hurricane safety building codes. The nice thing that the former Mrs. Tiger Woods did before demolishing the mansion was allow a local Habitat for Humanity to take whatever it could salvage from the property before the structure was torn down to the ground.
The crazy thing is, Tiger Woods's ex-wife loved the old mansion so much, that the one she is building to replace it looks nearly exactly like it. What a mess of a project having to level a home just to build a new, termite-free home to replace it that looks the same! At least she knows that she and her children will be safe in this new mansion that has nine bedrooms, two Jacuzzis, a pool cabana, two kitchens, and a guest house with three bedrooms. Plus, who wants to live with termites?
See, and the world thought that this was just the move of a woman scorned.
