On Tuesday, January 10, Hollywood was out in full force for the National Board of Review Awards Gala. Jessica Chastain, Michael Fassbender, and Jeremy Irons were among the guests at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
Courtney Justice of The Fashion Court quickly IDed The Tree of Life actress' attire for the evening. It was exciting to see another look from Zac Posen's stunning Pre-Fall 2012 collection. Jessica picked the designer's floral embroidered black dress with a sharp, structured neckline.
It truly was a beautiful dress, but it didn't make as strong an impact on the red carpet. If the straps and the neckline stayed as it should, and not falling off Jessica Chastain's shoulders, that would have made a big difference. Another thing that The Help star needed was a different pair of heels. The thick ankle straps on her Roger Vivier pair took away from her chic dress.
Fit and footwear aside, this red carpet look is the best from Jessica Chastain this week. It was an improvement from her Lyn Devon look at the NYFCC Awards Gala, and Prabal Gurung at the PSIFF Awards Gala.
