Katy Perry has ditched her wedding ring and is now wearing a very pretty silver ring featuring a blue stone instead. It actually matched the color of her chin-length tresses, as she was spotted walking through LAX on Monday.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, rumors have swirled within the past few days saying Katy was still wearing her wedding ring--fueling talk of a possible reconciliation with husband Russell Brand.
Why is it that people expect a couple to make amends even after one of them has filed for divorce? Wouldn't it be interesting to learn approximately what percentages of breakups where one or the other has filed for divorce actually end in reconciliation? It would seem that the number would be rather low--most especially within the celebrity world.
Another report this week indicated that Katy Perry and Russell Brand were on very 'good terms' with one another. Could it be that both of them realized their marriage was a bit ridiculous--given the night and day personalities of both parties?
If you'd like to take a look at the very pretty ring that Katy is wearing in place of her wedding ring, you can check it out by clicking here. And while it is most definitely a lovely piece of jewelry, there's always some sadness associated with a ring that replaces a wedding ring.
Hopefully Katy Perry and Russell Brand are able to work through the terms of their divorce on their present 'good terms,' and that none of the nastiness and fighting over money takes place before the divorce is final.
Do you think it's even remotely possible for a Hollywood marriage to end without fighting over money and property? And more importantly, do you think Katy will ever look back at this time in her life and picture Russell Brand as The One Who Got Away?
