New mom Beyonce has said in her first post-baby interview that Daddy Jay-Z will in fact be changing Blue Ivy's diapers. He will definitely be one of those 'hands-on' kind of dads.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Jay-Z's philosophy on child raising is that providing for monetary needs simply isn't enough.
"He will change diapers, of course he will," she gushed. "He is going to be a very hands-on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn't love. Love is being there. Love is doing the little things for your child," the proud new mama says.
Touted by his wife as an 'inspirational husband,' Ms. Bey fully believes Jay-Z's next role will be as an 'inspirational father.'
"He is not only an inspirational artist, he is an inspirational husband. I know the next step on his journey is going to be being an inspirational father," she says.
While everyone is no doubt happy for both Jay-Z and Beyonce, and the fact that he will be a hands-on dad, isn't it a bit hard to fathom in this day and age that there are dads who don't willingly fulfill that role? Hasn't society gone beyond the old stereotypical roles of a mother as a child-raiser and a father as a provider--the way it was for generations?
If not, then hopefully Jay-Z and Beyonce will set a fine example for new parents everywhere. Maybe they'll see that such roles needn't be defined by anything other than love.
Congrats to these parents on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Blue Ivy--and fans would no doubt appreciate a photo of Jay-Z doing diaper duty. Could that possibly be arranged?
