Is a Shakira Sex Tape Blackmail Scandal Brewing?

A former employee is threatening a Shakira sex tape blackmail scandal if money is not paid to squash the threat.

That's the report from Kickette, a soccer-themed news outlet, with an unverified scoop rumor, started by TV Notas, stating that a former, so far unidentified, employee of Shakira's, allegedly filmed the Brazilian pop star and soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique having sex. The report states the filming was consensual. Huh? Now that's a personal assistant...

But it goes on to say that the Shakira sex tape will be released by the employee unless the couple come up with an unspecified amount of money as a blackmail demand.

What a crazy story. How can this work? Going public with a blackmail threat can't help this person get the money he or she wants. So it does seem rather dubious and suspicious.

Shakira, of course, is a sexy bombshell hit maker and a sex tape may actually enhance her image with fans. Look what it did for Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton who were virtual unknowns outside their celebrity social circles until unauthorized (?) sex tapes of them were released on the web. It even got them both in to recording studios with varying degrees of success on Pop Charts.
