Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce drama has perhaps not been all that pretty. But the ex-couple apparently still has good style on the brain. While Kardashian maintains her busy schedule, recently chatting even more about the break-up on Live! With Kelly, she's been dressing to impress with her impeccable, glam-fabulous look and indulging in a bit of retail therapy. Humphries, on the other hand, has not only been keeping his mind off the Kardashians by shooting hoops on the basketball court. He has also been working on a rather stylish side project of his own--a newly overhauled bachelor pad!
Now that Kim Kardashian is out of the picture (relationship-wise, at least) for Kris Humphries, he has fully embraced his quick return to bachelor-dom. He did only technically leave the single life for a very short time (ahem, 72 total days of marriage). But that was long enough for the NBA pro to feel the need for a fresh start in the form of a new ultra-swank man cave in the basement of his Minnesota home. And he's even tapping back into the reality TV world, well kind of--he'll be starring in an episode of the DIY Network show, Man Caves, airing on Friday night alongside hosts Jason Cameron and Tony Siragusa. How's that for the Humph moving on from the divorce and creating his own buzz, outside of that generated by K.K.?!
Cameron and Siragusa really did do a bang-up job transforming Humphries' unfinished basement into a bedroom and lounge, complete with a kegerator, a dry bar and a custom king-size bed with upholstered headboard fit for his six-foot, nine-inch frame, as The New York Times reports. There's even a 100-inch-wide window that morphs into a giant movie screen. "That TV is unbelievable," Humphries said.
Aside from the guy-approved, man-cave-essential bells and whistles (kegerator, massive TV and more), the space really is quite sophisticated with chic black walls, fashionable art, sleek furnishings and a pretty stellar bed set-up. Daresay it might even be reminiscent of something of which Kim Kardashian would approve. Life & Style has more of the bachelor pad photos here.
