Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have dealt with accusations of a fake wedding and marriage for fame, fortune, and publicity's sake ever since their divorce was announced. Now, rumors are flying that Humphries has added even more fuel to the "faux," with reports that he feels he was duped into a sham and that it was all a fraud. Maybe, maybe not, and maybe no one will really ever know the truth with a capital "T." But Hollywood Life thinks it has uncovered another reason (albeit a minor, but telling one) why it seems Humphries and Kardashian's relationship and marriage may have not been as sincere as it could have been—it involves the revelation that a pivotal scene from Kourtney and Kim Take New York was staged.
A segment from a reality TV show staged? The horror! However, as many viewers probably realize, there isn't much reality to these series anyway. Most of the scenes are staged and scripted to some degree. But, according to an insider, there was a particular part of KKTNY—where Kris Humphries threw a huge party, complete with girls, in the penthouse suite at the Gansevoort Hotel and all behind Kim Kardashian's back—that had no basis in reality whatsoever.
Kardashian wasn't out of town on a business trip, as portrayed on the episode. "Kim was in the hotel room next door. The scene was for the show," confirmed the source. But Hollywood Life raises a good question: Why would Humphries go along with this stunt, especially knowing that it would probably make him look like the bad guy—at least in that episode.
It's all very strange, but the stretching of the truth just in this simple, non-consequential Kourtney and Kim Take New York scene does call into question what else wasn't real (both on the TV show and in that real-life "relationship").
