Rooney Mara is the "it" girl these days, one who is ready and raring to appear at the Oscars 2012 for a run at the best actress win for her role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Now all the actress has to decide is what to wear to the big show.
Apparently, this isn't a problem for Rooney Mara since she seems to have found her sartorial stride, showing up on Monday at a pre-Academy Awards nominees luncheon in a Thierry Mugler tuxedo jacket over an Issa top-and-pants set made of silk. That was it. No bling, no face paint.
But that's the way she rolls. This girl is used to dressing up, or dressing down, depending on the occasion. In fact, in order to get to the gathering in Beverly Hills on Monday, Mara had to fly in from Indianapolis where her family's team, the Giants, had just won the Super Bowl.
No sweat.
And no sweat as far as Rooney Mara is concerned with what she will choose to wear to the Oscars 2012 even though the thespian had made her fashion pick.
She told the Hollywood Reporter, "I haven't found a dress yet. I think it's fairly simple: people send things and you wear what you like. Comfort is really the most important thing to me. I have to feel good in it. And I like simple things - and I don't like too much color."
Just like her character in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, this Academy Award winning hopeful prefers black, and is typically wearing the goth hue to red carpet events. Her typical look is edgy yet on point, often with cut-outs, a big fashion trend this award show season.
So, with that said, are you looking forward to seeing Rooney Mara on the Oscar 2012 red carpet? Do you care what she picks as her fashion choice? Do you care if she wins an Oscar? Thoughts? Thanks.
