Austin Butler attended the première of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island with his girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, on February 2. This was their first official public appearance together, and the media noticed. Access Hollywood caught up with him on the set of his new film, Switched At Birth, and got down to business with the burning questions. The actor opened up 
about his red-hot romance with Hudgens, and admitted that having his private moments caught on camera isn't ideal.
"It's something that is sort of unavoidable. It goes with the territory, so I can't complain, but it's such an invasion. You can go the route of not living your life at all—and a lot of actors do that, where they just won't even go out of the house at all—but it makes life so unenjoyable. You can't go out, you can't hold hands with your girlfriend, you can't do any of these things, so I'm trying to find the balance. It's just staying happy and staying present and not worrying about what other people think," he said.
Obviously Austin Butler is referring to the very explicit photos of him and Vanessa Hudgens making out poolside in Miami. It does seem like the lovebirds don't have any privacy, and for some reason the paparazzi is all over their young love. It is just part of being a celebrity in love unfortunately, and they should know that the camera is always watching.
