A few days before The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aired, someone went down between Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump that may explain why Lisa was acting a bit floored about why Kyle decided to turn on Lisa during the reunion. According to Wetpaint Entertainment, Lisa was planning on selling her house and got Kyle's husband Mauricio Umansky to help her. He works as a realtor, so Lisa thought it would only make sense to use a friend's services to sell her large mansion.
"When Lisa put her 17,000-square-foot mansion on the market, she enlisted the help of Kyle's realtor hubby Mauricio Umansky. Lisa's pad sold for a cool $21 million, and Kyle's family walked away with a generous gift of a $1 million," writes Wetpaint Entertainment. Lisa could have chosen anyone to help her sell the house, but she chose a fellow The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's husband. Just a few days after selling the mansion for $21 million, getting Kyle $1 million of it, the women filmed the reunion show and Kyle turned on her.
"Kyle compared her friendship with Lisa to a game of chess in which every move is calculated. For Lisa, Kyle's biggest sin was failing to defend her friend while she was 'under attack' by Adrienne Maloof," writes Wetpaint Entertainment to summarize the backstabbing at the reunion filming. No one Lisa feels betrayed during the reunion and now Kyle just looks like an evil fool.
So it wasn't just a she said/she said situation that left Lisa baffled. No, there was one million dollars involved, which makes everything seem like a horrible betrayal.
