Going against the grain, Michelle Williams chose an H&M frock to take her down the red carpet for the annual BAFTAs.
The 2012 event, often dubbed The British Academy Awards, is a big deal across the pond. And the My Week with Marilyn star is highly regarded by certain pundits as being a shoe-in for the win in her portrayal as Marilyn Monroe as a visitor--and temptress--during her days, shooting a movie back in the day in the UK.
And so, for Michelle Williams, this big event in London is a homecoming of sorts as the versatile actress dons a custom made gown (seen here) that is half white and half black. The upper portion is strapless and has three well-appointed pleats to add detail, while the lower half is accentuated at the waist with a large bow.
As an added accessory of interest, this alter ego to Marilyn Monroe appears to be carrying a book which is actually a clutch. Clever, huh?
And with that said, what do you think of Michelle Williams in H&M fashion as she strides across the BAFTAs 2012 red carpet looking as fresh and pretty as she did before the award show season started? Thoughts? Thanks.
