Adele swept the Grammys 2012 last night. Now that her name is in the headlines, details about the singer have hit the news. She shares a name with Beyoncé and Jay Z's baby Blue Ivy Carter. She also got her start on YouTube, which is how Justin Bieber got his famous start.
The multi Grammy winning singer was born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins in 1988 to a single mother in Tottenham, North England. Her second middle name is of course the name that Bey and Jay chose for their first child, Blue Ivy Carter. How neat that they have this in common.
Then there is the Justin Bieber tie-in. In 2006, friends of Adele posted videos her soulful singing on YouTube. A worldwide sensation was born from that much like Justin Bieber was discovered by Scooter Braun in 2008 on the popular video sharing site. Another thing the singer and Bieber share is that they were both born to young, single mothers. What successes they both became!
Isn't it neat to see how these celebs have names or beginnings in common? It certainly makes the world seem like a much smaller place when you realize all the connections.
