On February 13, at the Savoy Hotel in London, the cast of the Masterpiece Classic series Downton Abbey took over this year's Elle Style Awards. Both upstairs and downstairs were well represented with Laura Carmichael, Hugh Bonneville, Sophie McShera, Allen Leech, and Thomas Howes carrying the flag for the Best TV Show winner.
Downton's Lady Edith looked radiant at the Elle Style Awards. Laura Carmichael kept it simple, yet festive in Christopher Kane, as spotted by Courtney Justice. The short, white number had an embellished neckline and slits in the fabric which revealed sparkling details underneath. An equally shimmery sandal would have been great, instead Laura opted for nude pumps.
Sophie McShera, who plays kitchen maid Daisy in Downton Abbey looked lovely in pleats. The lace, cropped blouse showed a glimpse of Sophie's midriff. The actress paired her cream-colored top with a long, pleated skirt, and too-heavy nude pumps. Sophie accessorized with layered necklaces, and a boxy, floral shoulder bag which seemed out-of-place on the Elle Style Awards red carpet.
