Whitney Houston's funeral has officially been scheduled for Saturday at noon at the Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. Much to the disappointment of her millions of fans, there will not be a public memorial (like the one held for Michael Jackson).
The owner of the W
higham Funeral Home in Newark has confirmed the arrangements and added also that there will not be a public memorial at the Prudential Center as previously rumored. It is somewhat surprising that Houston's family has decided not to have a way for fans to say their goodbyes. Many believed that a televised memorial would occur, giving millions the opportunity to mourn this great loss and to be a part of Whitney's send off.
Whitney Houston's cause of death is still unknown at this time. However, her family has to plug forward with her arrangements and bury her body in a timely manner. Fans have been leaving flowers at man-made memorials all over the country, and thus far, that is the only way that they will get to pay their respects.
