Chris Brown went on a highly criticised Twitter rant after winning his Grammy on Sunday night. After that the rapper faced backlash and a RIP trend on the popular microblogging site. Since then he has deleted his comments.
Brown's F.A.M.E. Grammy win actually came a mere three years after his assault on his then girlfriend Rihanna. Several celebrities criticized the rapper's Grammy win, and that irritated him. He went on a giant rant, which finally ended in "HATE ALL YOU WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY now! That's the ultimate *BLEEP* OFF!"
Well, the rant caused a lot more criticism of Chris Brown, and even though he has deleted all his comments, people still retweeted them and captured them in screenshots. Many people used it as proof that he had not changed or learned anything from his past mistakes, and if that is true, it is really sad. Beating a woman is not okay. Date abuse is a serious problem.
Even though he deleted the comments, it seems that the irritation they caused ended up causing the RIP Chris Brown Twitter trend last night too. Do you think that he can come back from this? Obviously if he has been able to come back from beating Rihanna and win a Grammy just 3 years later, he can probably come back from some ill-advised tweets. Even so, it seems he still has some learning and growing to do. Hopefully he does it before he hurts himself or anybody else.
