Fans were shocked when they watched the first episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County's seventh season as Gretchen and Tamra decided to put the past behind them and move on. While Tamra made the effort to get a bracelet made for Gretchen as part of the apology, Gretchen pretty much had the power to decide whether she was ready to forgive and move on. And now, she opens up in her blog about how she decided to forgive Tamra for the past.
"I just realized I had to let it go in order for my own spirit to repair itself," she writes in her official Bravo blog. "I saw a woman that wasn't me. I saw a woman that was angry, resentful, and had become negative in some ways," she explains of her own portrayal on the last season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. She didn't like who she was back then and decided that forgiving and moving on would be the best thing to do.
So was Gretchen thinking about this for a while? Well, she said an "Act of God helped changed [her] way of thinking." Apparently, she went to church and her pastor had said that if one does not forgive, one only hurts the self. Well, she took what she learned at church to move on. However, Tamra and Gretchen may butt heads later this season as predicted by Alexis so perhaps the message from God isn't as useful after all. Hopefully, the women can just be adult enough to move on.
