Kourtney Kardashian has reportedly been on the outs with Kim Kardashian since her younger sister filed for divorce from Kris Humphries. And now Kourtney's reportedly feuding with another family member, as well.
"Kourtney went ballistic on her mom," a "Kardashian source" tells The National Enquirer of the recent blowup between the two.
So why are Kourtney and Kris Jenner butting heads? Kourtney recently learned that Kris had rebuffed several merchandisers who wanted the eldest Kardashian sister to be their pitchwoman. Kourtney "exploded" when she discovered that Kris had turned down the offers unless Kim and Khloe Kardashian were brought into the mix.
"She's now learned that Kris fields and accepts offers for Kim and Khloe on their own, but if it's Kourtney, it has to be a package deal," The Enquirer's source says.
Kris has admitted publicly that Kim is her favorite child, so it's easy to see why Kourtney would be upset that she is being denied opportunities because the momager wants to push her favorite at the other kids' expense.
Baby daddy Scott Disick has urged Kourtney to find other reps to handle her business, but Kris keeps putting the kibosh on that idea, because apparently the 32-year-old Kourtney still lets her mother run her life.
"I think Kourtney's finally fed up; she doesn't see Kris looking out for her best interests. It's a tense time for the whole family," the source tells the mag.
You'd think Kourtney Kardashian would be easy to market because she's a mom, and babies and motherhood are a huge business. If Kris Jenner can't find anything for Kourtney to endorse solo, she's not a very good manager, so Kourtney probably would be better off finding someone else. The problem for Kourtney is that, as her younger half-sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner get older, their careers are going to get much busier and Kris is going to have less time to devote to managing her other children. Kris probably won't let Kourtney find other representation without a major fight, but Kourtney would probably be better off doing it now instead of waiting and missing out on who knows how many other opportunities.
What do you think? Should Kourtney Kardashian find a new manager? Is she being ignored in favor of Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian? Sound off in the comments!
