Miley Cyrus is, and always has been Cody Simpson's celebrity crush. For him, she's the ultimate "dateable" Disney star. In a recent video interview, the guy who's been called the Australian Justin Bieber dishes on his long-term, big time crush on the former Hanna Montana, as well as his admiration for and professional affinity with another famous singer/songwriter, Taylor Swift.
Cody Simpson thinks of himself as the male Taylor Swift, but it's not La Swift who gets his juices flowing. His admiration for the multiple Grammy winner is purely professional. In fact, his feelings for Taylor take the form of a purely artistic kinship, because like La Swift, the Aussie wunderkind "writes all of his emotions into songs—even if they never make it onto an album." In other words, while the creative process of his songwriting is very much like Swift's, he would never write a song about her. Serving as his romantic muse is an honor he reserves for Miley Cyrus. As you can see on the video below, Cody readily admits that he's always had a super heavy crush on the Party in the U.S.A singer. In fact, he confesses he knew all the words to all La Cyrus' songs when he was younger, and he's not ashamed to say so. And he still believes Miley will be "forever the most datable Disney star." Yikes. Wonder how Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Vanessa Hudgens feel about that?
Oh well, you can't blame a guy for knowing which Disney star he spent his younger years crushing on. It's a good thing there's such an age gap between Cody and Miley. Otherwise Liam Hemsworth might get jealous.
