Extra's Maria Menounos will be stepping out of her comfort zone and onto the dance floor in this upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Extra's own Mario Lopez competed on DWTS during season 3, and wound up finishing in second place. (Sounds like Maria needs to continue the good track record for Extra, doesn't it?)
According to a report from TMZ, three contestants were confirmed on Friday for the upcoming season that starts next month. Sherri Shepherd from The View, Melissa Gilbert of Little House on the Prairie fame, and Jack Wagner—Heather Locklear's ex
fiance and Melrose Place hottie, will all be competing. Now Maria has officially been cast in the lineup as well.
So far it seems Maria is the youngest of all the contestants confirmed so far. And she is no doubt the most beautiful. But can she dance?
Fans know that Menounos most definitely has guts. She recently lost a bet over which football team would win the Super Bowl (she bet on the New England Patriots) and had to stand in the middle of New York City wearing nothing but a teeny-weeny bikini—and it was freezing outside! She may be exactly the kind of contestant that Dancing With the Stars needs.
