Simon Cowell isn't ready to officially name the X Factor judges for the upcoming season. However, there's a couple of possibilities that he really likes. They are both well-known women in the music industry -- Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.
Both singers have let it be known they have an interest in joining the show. That's a positive. Sadly, both have had their moments of extreme controversy. That might be seen as a negative. Cowell, however, it calls it part of their "star power". That's because people talk about them and not just their music.
Cowell told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush that Britney Spears "...has got resilience. I think if she managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, (X Factor would be) a walk in the park."
Simon Cowell also answered Bush's question about whether Jackson would be a good judge for the show. However, the response wasn't frilly. He just gave a straight forward, "yes".
The front man for X Factor made sure to stress that they're building a new show for the second time around. He confirmed that major emphasis would be placed on the contestants.
One thing Simon Cowell's fans have come to expect is that he'll be right most of the time. His endorsement of Jackson and Spears could carry some weight; assuming they are among the possibilities under consideration. The singers' fans are hoping they are. They have little doubt that both women would light up the stage.
What do you think? Are Jackson and Spears good X Factor judge choices?
