Snooki--aka Nicole Polizzi--of The Jersey Shore fame is expecting her first little bundle of joy. Now the little guidette admits she was drinking when she found out she was pregnant. Could her drinking possibly be of concern to her unborn baby?
According to a report from Hollywood Life, it's pretty clear the Jersey Shore star is concerned.
"Sh**t, I've been drinking," she claims was the first thing that came to mind back in January when she discovered that she was indeed pregnant.
She and baby daddy and now fiance Jianni LaValle are obviously worried--at least to some degree.
"I was worried. It was New Year's Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy," Snooki says.
But she also said something else that certainly could be a bit of a concern.
"I didn't want to drink for a good two months after that anyway," she added.
Hopefully that doesn't mean that Polizzi is drinking now, unless it's under the advisory of her doctor. Some doctors do allow an occasional beer or glass of wine for pregnant women, but not any hard stuff. And that's what the entire Jersey Shore gang in accustomed to drinking.
It's actually a good sign that Snooki is aware that drinking can be detrimental to her unborn baby. It's assumed that she is receiving wise counsel from a good doctor, and that he or she will monitor her throughout her pregnancy.
Perhaps her worrying will be enough of a wake up call for her to take really good care of herself at least until her baby is born.

There is NO safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy. Beer, wine, and hard liquor all harm prenatal development.
