Courtney Stodden is in the headlines, right where she wants to be! It appears that in wake of the news that she's released her own attempt at a website, something has been pointed out by a few different sources. It looks like the teen bride to a 50-something year old D-list actor can't spell her own name properly.
Is it really that big of a deal though? There are probably tons of reasons why a person would misspell their own name, and for all of those reasons one of them could refer to intelligence. However, maybe Courtney Stodden isn't necessarily stupid. Maybe she hurriedly did the website and made a typographical error. That makes the most sense, actually, unless Stodden isn't Courtney's real last name. That also isn't surprising, but it's probably the first idea more than this latter one.
Regardless of why the young woman spelled her name wrong, what's for certain is that some people have far too much time on their hands. Her name is spelled correctly throughout the entire website except for the top title bar, which after this burst of publicity will probably be fixed. People are just looking for a reason to make fun of and pick on Courtney Stodden and really, she provides the public with enough comedic ammunition as it is, so this misspelling fiasco is just a big fat boring yawn.
As for the website—Mrs. D-List,erhm,Stodden is offering memberships kind of like those porn sites that require your credit card details. If you pay the premium membership, you get an autographed poster of the teen bride, access to her more "provocative" shots and you get entered into a contest to attend her 18th birthday party, which is coming in August. Oh brother...
