The Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian divorce seems to be getting uglier by the day. It seems to be a battle of he-said, she-said and now new information has come forward that may work against Kris himself. He continues to claim that his marriage was a fraud and that Kim only married him for publicity. But this new piece of information shows that he may not be in the marriage, given that he didn't pay full price for the engagement ring.
In other words, he was offered a specific engagement ring that Kim wanted for a discounted price so she could get what she wanted for the show. Rather than paying the full $2 million that the ring is worth, Kris Humphries only paid $750,000 for a discounted engagement ring. Could he have done this as part of the show's plotline so Kim could get what she wanted or did he pay that amount because he genuinely thought that the designer gave him a discount just because Kim would be wearing it?
According to Radar Online, a source has come forward and explained what Kris was going through at the time. "Kris did have other jewelers reach out to him and offer to give him a ring for free in exchange for publicity, but he didn't want to even pursue that. Kris knew how much Kim loved Elaine's collection, and there was no other option in his mind. Kris absolutely doesn't want the ring back, even though Kim filed for divorce. In his mind, it's her ring, and it was a symbol of his love for her," the source explains. Given that he didn't consider free rings could indicate that he was forced into choosing this ring for Kim because she wanted him to.
