Jennifer Lawrence has been jet-setting the globe, making fashionable waves at the première of the film, The Hunger Games. Heroine "Katniss Everdeen" has sparkled brightly in gold in Los Angeles and London (her Prabal Gurung cut-out gown was a knockout), and she's done black with a twist (a sexy backless number with zipper detail in Paris). But for the movie's début at Cinestar in Berlin, Germany on Friday, she cast aside the LBD and the metallic moments for a fiery look that really turned heads. In fact, she was in good company, as Elizabeth Banks also opted for a blazing confection, while Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson provided a cool counterpart to these ultimate ladies in red with their handsome three-piece suits.
But, back to those red-haute girls, who actually appeared to have channeled The Hunger Games' flaming logo in their eye-catching exits. Jennifer Lawrence's knee-length Marchesa frock was not only a fiery one, it was plenty flirty. A figure-hugging silhouette of artfully placed, peek-a-boo lace on the upper half made way for a drop waist and a fuller lacy tulle skirt... almost a sexy tutu-like affair! Deep crimson peep-toe pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti finished the look, as did a pretty and modern updo that proved perfect for the high neckline of her smoldering dress.
As for Elizabeth Banks, she sparkled—literally—with her Elie Saab creation that was sizzling and sophisticated, and looked to be completely encrusted in jewels. The red-orange hue of the long gown (with a train, to boot!) not only matched perfectly with that ball-of-fire mockingjay logo, it was beautiful with Lawrence's simple blonde locks and fair complexion.
If one happens to be feeling inspired by Jennifer Lawrence and Elizabeth Banks, who have proven the ruby, fire-engine hue is not just for Valentine's Day, Just Jared has the hot photos of them, not to mention their hunky counterparts, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, at The Hunger Games Berlin première.
