Robert Pattinson will soon prove to Twilight fans who feel he's forever typecast in the role of a vampire, that he's got what it takes to be a successful all-around actor.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Rob's Cosmopolis director, David Cronenberg, says that very soon even Twilight critics will admire the actor's skills.
"He's a very serious actor. He wants to be great and takes the trouble to try and be great," David said a few days ago. "What he does in [Cosmopolis] will lay that question to rest, which a lot of people who are skeptical of Twilight are asking."
Can you imagine seeing Rob in a role other than that of Edward Cullen? He and Kristen Stewart are made for each other, both on and off the big screen. How will he do without his Bella Swan by his side?
Robert Pattinson's film Bel Ami is slated to hit theaters in June, and Cosmopolis will open later in the year. Both of these roles are a far cry from what Twilight fans have seen of Rob's acting, but they will likely be pleasantly surprised.
Will you be checking out Robert Pattinson in Bel Ami or Cosmopolis—or maybe even both? Do you think his Cosmopolis director will be right on the money with the prediction he's made about the Twilight star?
Twilight fans needn't worry, however. If they're not thrilled with what they see, Rob will be back in movie theaters with Kristen Stewart in November in Breaking Dawn Part 2—what is said to be the last of the films in this hit series.
