There's new info on the Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez dating situation that's been released by the young male singer himself. JB appears on the cover of the newest issue of Complex magazine, and in a revealing feature story inside.
According to Complex, when they sat down for dinner with Bieber, he was firing off a "flurry of text messages." They add, "they may be directed at Bieber's gorgeous 19-year-old girlfriend, actress-singer Selena Gomez." At the time, she was performing for her South American tour. It can be tough for most couples to have a long-distance relationship, but when you're young millionaires, it may not be quite so tough.
However, there's also the issue of the constant attention and rumors, along with the tough time they have going out together in public. When Justin and Selena's relationship is brought up by the magazine, JB gives some interesting insight. The singer says:
"There's no way to hide the relationship completely, because then it would be unfair to us," he says. "It's like, 'You take this car, and I'll take this car, and then we'll meet up at the spot. Then, you go in this door, I'll go in this door. We'll end up crossing ways. You get back in this car. We'll cross over, do a James Bond. You go through the kitchen. I'll go through the back area. Then we'll meet in the dressing room and see each other.' At that point, it's not even a relationship. You're just hiding from everyone. That's unfair and unhealthy, man."
In the past, it seemed that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may have been trying their best to do that. Other young couples have tried as well, including Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart of "Twilight" fame. The good part of that is often leads to increased rumors, headlines, and spotlight to publicize their latest work or projects. The bad part is just what JB mentions, the fact that it becomes tough to hide from the world. While many details of their relationship may be private, it's apparent they don't want to hide the fact they are dating. Why should they, or anyone else, unless it would cause serious problems?
For now, Bieber seems content with his dating situation, as does Selena Gomez. There's always the continued speculation they might break up, but for now, they seem to be doing just fine, despite all the public scrutiny, and the distance thing!
