Selena Gomez is an avid supporter of UNICEF, and now she's touting their Tap Project as part of World Water Week. The UNICEF ambassador is asking people to take action to ensure safe drinking water for children around the world.
According to a report from Just Jared, the Tap Project creates awareness among the adults of the world that there are children dying every day because of unsafe drinking water.
It urges those with the means to do so to get involved in this worthwhile project.
The Spring Breakers star and Love You Like A Love Song singer is urging her friends, family members, and followers to donate to the Tap Project. There are other ways to get involved, and they are clearly outlined at its donate page.
Selena Gomez has a big heart. She and boyfriend Justin Bieber are constantly giving to those less fortunate. She is also active in the Make-A-Wish Association, and she and Justin almost always visit children's hospitals when they travel from city to city.
Did you know it was World Water Week? Had you ever heard of UNICEF's Tap Project? If not, you have Selena Gomez to thank for making you aware of this very necessary project. If you donate or find another way to lend a hand, she will no doubt appreciate your efforts.
