Though her sister Kim Kardashian wears fur, Khloe Kardashian does not and she has always made that apparent. To show her support, Khloe has posed for PETA in their "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign. However, it looks like PETA is losing Khloe as a supporter.
The decision seems to stem back to the weekend "flour bombing" incident involving her sister, Kim. PETA has said that they did not play a role in the fiasco, but they did say they supported it. Recently though, Khloe learned that the individual accused of flour bombing her sister does indeed have ties with PETA. As a result, Khloe took to her blog to issue a statement, ending her support for the animal rights group. Part of Khloe's statement reads:
"I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise. Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior. I've been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don't condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that. I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior."
Khloe Kardashian made it clear that, although she may no longer support PETA, that doesn't mean she will go back to wearing fur. The reality show star made it clear that she has no intentions of wearing any kind of animal fur.
No matter what you thought of the incident, "flour bombing" can very well be considered an act of bullying. Of course, everyone will have a different opinion about it. Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian was essentially bullied and that is not something that Khloe will tolerate. While everyone may not support Khloe's decision to drop her support for the animal rights group, it is clear that she takes a strong stand against bullying and it is great to see her standing up for what she believes in.
