Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence is getting a taste of the life in the shoes of a film star. She is in the middle of promoting the film, as it is premiering around the world, but it seems that her critics are already out to get her. In fact, it seems they are going after her body image, calling her too fat for the role. And while her fans have been quick to defend this new movie star, it seems that she herself can only laugh at the comments. What an inspiration!
Apparently, Lawrence thinks the attention to her body and about her being too curvy is 'hilarious.' A source close to the star has told the Chicago Sun Times newspaper that she thinks it is hilarious that so many people are after stars that look anorexic, yet attack a star for having 'normal' curves and being a healthy weight. "Thin body images are too often adopted by young girls and women thanks to what they are constantly being shown as being attractive," explains the source close to Lawrence.
Surely, the thousands of fans who went to the movie theatre this past weekend to see The Hunger Games didn't sit and judge Jennifer Lawrence's curvy body. It's not like she is carrying 50 pounds too much to make her obese. She just doesn't have the body where she is showing her ribs through her shirt. In fact, Lawrence is proud of her body, even if it means losing out on modeling jobs. "All the other girls are looking cute, modeling while playing football, and my face is bright red, my nostrils are flared, and I'm mid-leap, about the tackle this girl," Lawrence recently explained about her body image according to Celeb Dirty Laundry. "I'm not even looking at the camera. The other girls were like, 'Get her away from me.'"
Jennifer is an inspiration for standing her ground when it comes to her body and she should be praised for that.
