Katy Perry and Russell Brand's divorce is going smoother than tabloids had expected. Despite not having a prenuptial agreement, rumors of Russell going after Katy's money may not be true after all. Tabloids have really made it seem like Brand was money hungry and after a large chunk of Perry's cash and assets. However, both celebrities remained quiet about their split.
There are few celebrities who would want their divorces to be drawn out or put on display for the entire world. Fortunately, it seems Perry and Brand is on the same page in their desire for a fast divorce out of the limelight.
Now, a Los Angeles quitclaim deed filed by Brand shows that he's surrendered all rights to their $6.5 million house. That is a huge step in cementing their divorce. Brand's actions were reported "part of the property settlement agreement between" him and Katy.
Katy Perry and Russell Brand's divorce may have had some rough patches drummed up by the media and even their family members but they are moving forward amicably. Hopefully, the rest of the process will be just as smooth.
