Justin Timberlake to Sue for Royalties to...

It may have happened 12 years ago, but Justin Timberlake just now discovered an *NSync board game was released, and the star never knew about it. Where's his cash?

The existence of the *NSync Backstage Pass by Patch came to Timberlake's attention through Twitter user, Cherie Flora Grzych. She sent the star a photo of the game with the message, "Cleaning out a closet..look what I found!! This is in the 'keep' pile for sure!" Although the fan's intentions were good, she may have just opened up a can of worms for the game's maker.

Justin kept his cool and seemed to take the news in stride, but, less than 15 minutes later, he replied. "Wow! I didn't even know that existed! Somebody made some serious cash off of us..."

Timberlake has every reason to be upset about the release of a trivia game based on himself and other former band members. He apparently never approved the use of his personal information for profit and surely has grounds for a lawsuit. The question is: Will Justin Timberlake take legal action, or just laugh it off?

That is a really tough position to be in - Especially now since we are in the age of intellectual property! If Justin takes the rightful approach and sues for compensation then he will get however much cash is available from the game, but will probably get some bad PR and be called greedy because it's so long ago. If he sluffs it off and says, 'nice one!', then it empowers someone who has clearly broken the law. It's like if my stock trading broker quoted me higher prices than what a stock was trading at, and taking the difference. If I later found out about this he could get thrown in jail or at least sued!
