Kim Kardashian may not have been open about her divorce when she filed divorce papers back in October. While Kris Humphries released a statement saying he would do what it took to make his marriage work, Kim had already given up and moved on. Because of her lack of statements and rumors that she profited several millions from getting married, she was quickly the most hated woman in the world. But this morning, after getting caught sleeping over at Kanye West's apartment during the week, Kim decided to come on the Today show to set the record straight.
During her interview this morning with Ann Curry, Kim indirectly bashed Humphries for not cooperating. She explained that she is disappointed that divorce is the only option, as she would have wanted an annulment. She doesn't regret making the decision to split, despite getting heat for it. "I'm sure I'd love one myself," Kim Kardashian explains about getting an annulment. "But there are certain guidelines in how you can get one and I'm not sure we fall under that. Also, regarding the whole divorce thing, we are still going through a divorce so there's not really much that I'm allowed to talk about. But out of respect for him I try to not really talk about stuff involving him and the situation. I'm just really ready to close...I have closed that chapter and I'm just really ready to move on."
Kim has shown the world that she is ready to move on. Although she is still legally married, she could be labeled as cheating because she is supposedly dating Kanye West. She has been spotted leaving his apartment early in the morning in the same clothes she wore the night before after the two saw The Hunger Games earlier this week. Despite the way she looks in the media now, Kim wants everyone to know that her marriage to Kris wasn't fake—it was just a big mistake. "Why would you marry someone for ratings? I didn't need that—the show does amazing with or without the wedding. It's just hurtful when people say that because anyone that knows me knows I love really hard. I fall hard and I followed my heart. Things don't work out—that's just sometimes how life is. You don't go into that expecting that, but when you realize it...for me, when I realized it fast, what's the point in dragging something out when you know that it's just not it for you? But to me—I learn a lesson from everything I go through. The whole experience has changed me for the better and I have no regrets," she explains.
Now that Kardashian has shared her opinion on the divorce and annulment, one has to wonder if Kris will speak out now, sharing what he knows, or if he is saving it all for court.
