The tabloids have been reporting for weeks that there was trouble in paradise for Leah Messer and Jeremy Calvert. While the two did their best to refute the claims, people still believed the rumors. However, the two decided to put the rumors to rest once and for all and after a short engagement, the two have tied the knot!
The Independent Online is reporting that the couple married on Wednesday in the town of Catlettsburg, which is in Kentucky, roughly an hour and a half away from Leah's hometown in West Virgnia. The wedding was small, with only about 15 people in attendance, including parents and of course, an adorable set of twin girls, and a camera crew! That's right, MTV was there to film the whole thing, so fans will get to see the ceremony on an upcoming season of Teen Mom 2.
Leah Messer has said she wants to have a bigger wedding in the future, and one has to wonder if this smaller ceremony was more for the cameras. Apparently, MTV followed the couple as they got their marriage license and their rings. Leah is one of the most popular Teen Moms on the show and fans love following her every move. Certainly, MTV knows that filming her second wedding will bring in huge ratings for the show (not to mention a slew of publicity for the reality show star).
This is certainly a surprise to fans who had no idea when the couple were going to get married so soon. They two have been house hunting, but never made mention to when they planned on tying the knot. However, they did tweet that April was going to be a good month and that they were excited for something and it looks like this may have been it!
As most know, this is Leah Messer's second marriage, the first being to Corey Simms, who is the father of her girls. Obviously having gone through a divorce, Leah learned a lot. While getting married again may seem like a quick decision, fans have to trust that she is making the best choices for herself and her daughter.
Are you surprised that Leah and Jeremy got married?
