Beyonce is one strange chick. Although the singer joined Twitter a long time ago, she has never posted one single message. Until now. What did she tweet?
Yes, the Single Ladies singer opened her Twitter account two years ago, and then she apparently forgot about it. Although she managed to attract more than 3 million Twitter followers, while she herself followed her friends, Kelly Rowland, Usher and Mariah Carey, she never wrote anything. Not even while she was pregnant with her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and not even after the birth. No messages, no photos, nada. All that changed, however, last week when Bey finally took to her Twitter page and made up for lost time. So what did she Tweet? Cute stories and/or photos of little Blue Ivy? Her happiness at renewing her wedding vows with hubby Jay Z? Her "after-baby" diet and exercise tips? Not really. Beyoncé's first ever tweet was totally mundane and commercially oriented.
"Hey World, It's B!" she wrote. "I'm so excited to invite you to my new beyonce.com—we've been working hard, and it's finally ready for you XO."
Talk about anti-climactic.
Oh well, perhaps in 2014, Beyoncé will feel like opening up again.
