The Real Housewives of Vancouver had its premiere last week and now the wives from the show are starting to speak out about their lifestyles, so fans can get to know them a bit better. Reiko Mackenzie is one of the more interesting housewives because she has everything a common housewife has - a house, a husband, children and a closet full of clothes. But she also has an extensive collection of sports cars and she has a husband, who was once the primary suspect in one of Canada's biggest murder mysteries.
Reiko is a Japanese-Canadian and her mother lives with her in her huge Vancouver home. Reiko mixes her Canadian lifestyle with her Japanese heritage by combining the modern sports cars with her workout routines, which often consists of mixed martial arts - with a sword, of course! According to Wetpaint Entertainment, Reiko's collection of cars is just a hobby, just as other people collect arts and coins.
As for her husband, who was featured on the premiere episode of The Real Housewives of Vancouver -- Sun New Lal, he was the primary suspect on one of Vancouver's notorious mob crimes in the history of the province. He was eventually acquitted, but it does seem odd that he was a primary suspect to begin with. One has to wonder what he was up to back then. According to the website, "Sun was a prime suspect when Jim and Ron Dosanjh were killed in a "turf war" between rival drug gangs."
Now, Sun is a venture capitalist, but it is uncertain where the money is coming from. If Sun is pulling in all of the income, then he definitely spoils Reiko with her huge collection of sports cars. But she can fend for herself, given she has a degree in law with plans of becoming a lawyer. She is one of the smarter housewives on the block, so hopefully she can upstage some of the other women, should they get too catty.
