Maksim Chmerkovskiy, dance pro partner of injured Dancing With the Stars contestant Melissa Gilbert, says his dance partner is in considerable pain.
According to a report from People.com, even though Gilbert was unable to appear on Tuesday evening's episode of DWTS, it certainly sounds like she'll be back and able to continue in the competition.
"She's in pain," Maks says. "She's got a big headache. The doctors said she has a minor concussion, and I know that's really unpleasant."
Melissa Gilbert took a nasty fall while dancing a Paso Doble during Monday night's competition. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is now said to be resting comfortably at home.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy remains optimistic, however, that this setback won't immediately eliminate them for the DWTS competition.
"I think we are coming back," he says. "I'm pretty sure. It's not up to me, it's up to her, [but] I haven't heard talks of not coming back. Although, if she wakes up tomorrow and continues to have a headache, I won't let her in the studio."
Did you see the spill Melissa Gilbert took on Monday evening? Do you think she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy still stand a chance in this season's Dancing With the Stars competition?
