Now that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are officially engaged, let the media frenzy begin! Move over Kate Middleton and Prince William, this may be the wedding of the century or it may not, but whatever the case, the tabloids are already digging. "We will not rest until we know when and where and how and who's going to be there," Bradley Jacobs, senior editor at Us Weekly, says and the Huffington Post quotes.
Whether the wedding will be a Kim Kardashian extravagant event with countless guests and fancy gifts or a small, private ceremony, one can only imagine the media speculation. Dress designers are no doubt already lining up. "Every single designer on the planet will be pursuing Angelina for the dress," says Hollywood Reporter executive editor Stephen Galloway. Angelina Jolie could establish a career with her choice.
"This is really a state wedding," Galloway adds. He equates it to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. It could be that not all Americans would agree with that, but there's no doubt it will draw attention.
And the biggest news: This wedding is no sudden inspiration. The jeweler, Robert Procop, says he spent a year working with Brad Pitt to create the perfect ring. Awww-w. Who knew Pitt could be so romantic, after all these years and all these children?
Next, the tabloids are speculating on the size and splash the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt wedding will offer. Whole issues of magazines could cover clothes and jewels and makeup, as they did for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Whole bridal lines could evolve from Angie's selection.
Whatever happens—big or small or an elopment—the media will be on it. This wedding has just become the major story in town—or this or any other continent
