Robert Pattinson Surfing as Prep for New Movie? Or Is He Doing It for Kristen Stewart?

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are often seen doing lots of things together: They attend movie premieres, go out on romantic dates at fancy restaurants and sometimes, they co-star in movies together. But in recent days, Twilight star Robert seems to have a new hobby—one that doesn't involve KStew in any way. He's paddle-boarding!

New photos of Robert doing his thing in the California surf keep surfacing, and that's prompting speculation that maybe he's getting into the sport for more than just fun. Is this prep for a new film role? Some say it's possible. It's also possible that he's hitting the waves as a way to sculpt his (already amazing) physique. This seems like a good way to impress his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart! Surfing and paddle-boarding is hard work, and a great way to get in shape quickly. It's also an excellent way to keep fans happy. Who wouldn't want to see great photos of Robert Pattinson in his swim trunks, fighting the Malibu surf?!

The idea that Robert might be prepping for a surfing movie is certainly an interesting one, though he doesn't seem to have that true "surfer look." He also doesn't have the smooth surfing moves down just yet—though not for a lack of trying.
